Some 360 degree panos don't work
I have a couple of 360 degree panos in my Xiaomi 14's internal memory, with sizes ranging from 32 to 200 megapixels.
- One of them doesn't work at all, see attached screenshot and file*. Judging from the missing pano icon (see screenshot), it seems Aves doesn't recognise this file as 360 degrees. However, that same file plays well in FSPViewer64 on Windows.
- sorry, I tried 2 timed to attach that file "Sendlinger Tor Brunnen DSC07978 v8opt-hires_photomatix2wieWoZiAlbumHDR+8k.jpg" but it doesn't work, see error message below. Let me know if I can send you that file in some other way. Its size is 20.5 MB.
- When I swipe through the 360 directory, a) previews of files bigger than 10000 x 5000 pixels are sometimes(!) not updating and show only very coarse and blurry pixels. In other cases, they work normally - don't know how to reproduce this reliably, but appears more often than not and is there rather annoying; b) when I touch "Öffnen" (open), some of them(!) don't show at all, even if I wait long time. This seems to be a size issue, although I'm not sure if its the MB size or the picture's dimensions. Is there a limit?
Since this is the first time I report some issue on github and I'm not sure if and how I can follow up here if you answer I kindly ask you to copy me at [email protected].
Thanks, Wolfgang Schweitzer

You could use something like WeTransfer.

Yes, but it's not fixed. It depends on how much memory is needed to decode the panorama, and how much memory is available at the time of decoding. At the moment, there's no tiling or downscaling mechanism to display the panorama in 360, so the full decoded panorama has to fit in memory.
Could you please try the latest version of Aves v1.13.8 and let me know whether it works better for you?
