While testing Release: 20240205 #6078 I tried connecting to voice chat on the Desktop again to see if I could be heard in the browser (on Friday, I couldn’t be heard). Here’s what happened:

  1. Now, I can be heard in the browser when I speak on the Desktop.
  2. The microphone remains active on Desktop Mac even when I’m not holding the “T” key or performing any action.
  3. I can’t turn off the microphone. The most interesting part is that unable to turn off the microphone, I exited the Voice Chat. I then saw the “Join Voice Chat” button on the Desktop, but I was still being heard in the browser. After refreshing the browser:
  4. Again, I couldn’t hear myself in the browser, even though I’m supposedly in Voice Chat on the Desktop and appear as speaking to the other user in the browser.
  5. I can’t turn off the microphone.
  6. Even if the Desktop user exits the voice chat, although they can’t hear me, I appear to the Browser as I'm speaking.
