In Fedora 27, logging out of Pantheon = dead GDM
As the title indicates... I noticed that with Fedora 27, logging out of the Pantheon session (after having logged in through gdm) shuts down GDM, you end up with a blank "_" cursor on the top-left of the monitor blinking on a black screen...
I have encountered this issue before, but it doesn't happen in a reproducible manner here 🙁 Does switching back to tty1/gdm with Ctrl + Alt + F1
work?
I ran into this problem as well, and Ctrl + Alt + F1
worked intermittently. Pantheon really wants lightdm, so I switched to it to resolve the problem on a more permanent basis. Lightdm is a bit less responsive than gdm, but a better fit for someone primarily using Pantheon.
