View changes to entry from last save in editorial workflow

When working in editorial workflow I want to be able to see what changes were made in the last save. This would be useful when working with multiple writers/editors on a single entry, blog post, page, etc. Describe the solution you'd like

When a change is made to an entry in a collection, I would like to see what has changed from the editor view. Describe alternatives you've considered

The only other thing I've considered is just taking a look at the diff on the pr in github. Additional context

100% agreed - commit history and diffing should be visible in general. Doing diffing well across multiple fields requires quite a bit of product level consideration, that would be the next step here.

Is there anything i can do to help make this a reality, or does the core team need to mull things over before there would be anything actionable for outside contributors?

Hi @omawhite we've already started using the compare API in the GitHub backend, and soon GitLab BitBucket so that part shouldn't be hard to expose. I think the UI aspect will take more thinking, but we will gladly accept outside contributors work (a mock up would be great).
