Keyboard sometimes not working with me being unable to make it work again, until it suddenly starts working again

Very often, I'll be typing something using Ajemi when it'll suddenly not work and I'll have to go to linku.la and use their sitelen pona typing, which is a pain in the ass. And sometimes, I'll go to type something, and it won't even work at all, despite showing as the enabled keyboard on the bottom right of my screen. I'm not sure how to make it work again, but it does manage to re-enable itself somehow, even if that's after 10-ish minutes. My assumption is that it's similar to how other keyboards—such as a Japanese keyboard—have a secondary button to the left of the keyboard button on the taskbar (at least on Windows, it is) that changes if the keyboard is enabled or not (I don't know how to explain it better, but you can see the button I'm referring to in the image below). But anyways, sometimes with those keyboards, it will automatically switch to Latin script—such as when you are using the "search" feature on the taskbar—and I suspect that that's what's happening here. You can see in the first video attached that my Japanese keyboard switches from Kana (shown as "あ") to Latin (shown as "A") when I open Notepad. In the program, I can click on the "A" for it to switch back to Kana, but I cannot click on a button to switch Ajemi back to sitelen pona as there is no secondary button. You can see the same issue happening with Ajemi on Notepad in the second video attached; it is doing the same thing where it's on the non-Latin setting while in Edge, but switches to Latin in the app. You can see how my Japanese keyboard can switch back to it's non-Latin setting after opening in the third video. I don't believe that this is an issue on my computer specifically, as I have done everything I possibly can to mess with my keyboard settings and it still does not work.

By default pressing Ctrl disables/re-enables the input method.
