'Leaf Auto Width' bugs

Open ChrisBarfod opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

When Leaf Auto Width is already on:

  • Toggling sidebars cause pane misalignment when not on the far left pane.
  • When Stacking is turned off, there is leftover space next to the current pane the width of the pane headers which were visible when Stacking is on.

When Leaf Auto Width is toggled on:

  • Currently, the far left pane is maximized, regardless of the active pane. Instead, the active pane should be maximized.

Toggling sidebars cause pane misalignment when not on the far left pane.

It's not just toggling sidebars, changing window size (maximizing, windowed again) also disrupts the alignment.

  • The leftmost pane is fine with width change
  • The rightmost pane is confused with increases in width
  • Middle panes are messed up when decreasing or increasing width

The focused pane needs to be responsive to width changes.

I have a similar problem. Without stacking, the panes wont change width when resizing/toggling sidebars. Whith stacking, everything is messed up and weird. In both cases, sitching panes misaligns them : the focused pane is not at the center of the document. That makes the plugin mostly unusable, especially since i'm a big user of side panes...
