Fog doesn't work in Super Smash Bros

Fog is used in that game to show Invincibility and other neat visual effects.

Fog affects many things. Invincibility, certain lighting effects like Fox's Up B, and even costume colors in team battle when multiple players on the same team pick the same character.

Doubt it, but can you post a screenshot of what it looks like with Rice, and another showing what it's supposed to look like? I found some weird behavior in my fork of deathdroid's fork ;/ .

Basically, if i unconditionally set gRDP.tnl.Fog to true in RSP_GBI2_GeometryMode, then boot up fzero and once I see fog, I end emulation and boot up SSB. By loading f-zero first, I'm able to see fog, altho it's buggy.

First I want to find out why I can't force fog on, even after hacking the source. Seems weird I have to do something as obscure as booting up a different game first... I spent a while trying to debug and am tired, so I give up for now. I'd be very grateful if someone else was willing to pick up from where i left off.
