If you check @danjger 's link, the maintainer mentioned that he was not transferring this project over as he did with the Great Suspender. The Chrome Web Store version and GitHub versions here still match up, so this extension seems to be safe. However, he did say it is in maintenance mode and will probably only get updated by community PRs. I think it would be good for @deanoemcke to comment on the current state of this extension however concerning if the new owner of Great Suspender still has anything do do with this extension.
I would personally like to use this extension to have a little more control over the native discarding feature, but I am hesitant until we hear from the maintainer about this one.
I've had a PR open for a really long time - seems like this project is dormant. Per the link above, I'm going to do my best to make some additions, starting with my own PR that was never integrated. I will probably attempt some of the current open enhancement requests, and then anything else gets added as issues/enhancements to my fork.
