Any plans for resizing screens?
A simple solution this would cut text. I want to make a counter-proposal: Document how to make user-defined layouts. Aside, this is a duplicate of #25.
Hello @matu3ba, awesome application !!! Thank yo very much. I think I may use it for something similar that mprocs (monitor parallel children process). But mprocs is 12Mb and mtm is ... 63kB! so I can move it with ssh at each execution.
Just to say that I agree with your counter-proposal. Resising on demand is so hard it may duplicate the lines of code. But a small user defined syntax to start mtp would be 50 lines and get the desired versatility. I'll look around and maybe PR.
Can you close this issue so that discussion goes to #25 ?
@tinmarino Thanks for the kind words, but I am not @deadpixi (Rob King) and I dont have permissions on this repo.
I think this app is very nice and minimal, but future shell applications should rely on a fixed shell design enabling things like this https://arcan-fe.com/2022/10/15/whipping-up-a-new-shell-lashcat9/, but at least fix this horrible shell mess.
In band communication would be fine, if they would be transparent to the user (and shell would have a dedicated mode to accept them). Otherwise, there should be dedicated control channels.
