Describe the bug / provide steps to reproduce it
If I tap the beginning of a line, sometimes the whole line is selected. If I tap the beginning of the line again, the line is unselected. Then if I press backspace, the whole line is deleted. If I drag to move the cursor, then press backspace, there's no problem, backspace removes one character as expected.

Thats a expected behaviour as when pressing on gutter area (line numbers) it will select the whole line and It's obvious when there will be selection the backspace will delete whole selection. So simply get out of selection and backspace will behave normally.
No, after the line is unselected backspace still deletes the whole line
