Recent Files gesture not being disabled

Greetings,

I have had a issue with the bottom middle gesture changing pages while I'm writing. I have toggled the swipes off button but this is the one swipe that does not seem to be disable via it. Any help with this would be fantastic as I love the hack but this one thing is driving me nuts.
