Remarkable Version 2.13.0.758 Support
Hey all,
Is there an update for the newest version of the remarkable 2, version 2.13.0.758. I'm wanting to be able to use the hacks again and my idiot self let the remarkable update. I'm not as literate with this type of stuff as everyone else so any help would be awesome. I'm using a Mac as well to do everything, so if there's any coding or hints, I'm on OS.
Check out old github issues about how to revert to an older version -- this has come up before.
But a question to ddvk: would it be possible for the automagic-script to ask "shall automatic updates get disabled to prevent unintended removal of the hacks?" and change the setting accordingly?
@dstango Do you have a link for the reversions? I've been searching and searching, but I can't really figure out how to do it. Like I said, I'm not extremely literate on all this, so I'm struggling.

@Eeems As I mentioned, I'm not smart when it comes to this type of stuff and using my Apple laptop so running OS. I see that is for Python, so I'm not sure how to do it for my mac. I'm sorry that I'm being difficult.
The correct place to ask for help would be on that repo, the community Discord, or Matrix channel. You can find more information on the Discord server and matrix channel here: https://remarkablewiki.com/
@bcjohnson44 I was thinking of something like this: https://github.com/ddvk/remarkable-hacks/issues/32#issuecomment-643324754 Don't know if it needs any adoption for the current state of affairs.
But maybe a little patience will be the easiest way to go, until an update of the hacks is available ... 2.13 doesn't seem to introduce brand new concepts or changes in the user interface, so hopefully upgrading the hacks will not be too painful ...
@dstango I know, I'm trying to be patient. I'm using the remy pen and lost the functionality of the eraser so I was hoping to be able to get that back, but it looks like i'm just going to have to wait because I can't figure this crap out. Like I said, I'm VERY beginner level and can't figure out how to revert back to the previous version
@bcjohnson44, this won't help you this time, but next time, even if you accidentally leave auto-update on and it downloads the new OS version to the tablet, you don't have to install the new version. The new OS doesn't install until you restart the tablet.
i'm on vacation atm (Guadeloupe) and i don't have the lamy pen with me, but i'll be back next week
@ddvk , so glad to hear you're on vacation. Hope you have a restorative and refreshing trip!
Hello, I have some side question about this official update. My rm2 cannot find this update, when I try, the “…up to date..” message is written.
Does anyone have the same problem? What can I do?
Thanks.
@ONYX4407 Rm is rolling out updates gradually, so it is perfectly okay if someone have it and someone not.
Thank you so much for this hack which makes my life much easier as a student. I have the RM1, version 2.13.0.758, and when I try to update the hack it doesn't work. Do you think you could update the hack for RM1 as well? Thanks again!
FYI for those who can't seem to get the 2.13 update. This is from the rM website. "Please note that due to bug fixes and necessary patches 2.13 was a limited release. All the included features below will be rolled over and added to our forthcoming release - 2.14."

2.14 is currently in beta and will introduce inter- and intra-document tags.
I second Prunil's request to have the hack available for the rM1 as well. I forgot to turn off automatic updates and as such I've realized just how much I've been depending on this hack for a more user friendly experience with my reMarkable. It is very very much appreciated.

@ai212983 I uderstand but in this case it wasn't probably right accoridng to to stopped rollout of 2.13 update where RM skipped 2.13 until 2.14 release because of bugs.
didn't have time to do the rm1 2.13, but 2.14 is out and I'll do that one
