Issue: menu disappears when leaving sleep mode

Open silaxe opened this issue 3 years ago • 6 comments

When leaving the sleep mode after some time, in notebooks, ebooks or PDFs, the side menu disappears completely (even the small pencil that remains normally on top of the menu). There is nothing I can do but restart the Remarkable 2 to return to a normal operation.

Any workaround for this?

Thank you!

rm1 or rm2? can't you toggle the menu with a swipe down gesture? does long pressing the corner show the menu again?

Thanks for the quick answer. I use a Rm 2. As soon as the issue occurs again I will try the workarounds and let you know!

I had this happening once, as well. But a quick swipe down with one finger (not from the edge, just from the middle) will bring the side bar back.

Finally the issue ocurred again: the 'Z' at the top of the menu becomes an 'M' and, indeed, I can still swipe down from the middle to open/close the menu - thanks for the tip. I assume I will need to power off/power on to return in a normal operating condition. Maybe something to fix in a future release?

@silaxe "M" is the read mode without visible menu. Swipe down gesture make the menu visible. You can activate read mode by doing a long press on "Z" on the top of the menu or by pressing battery icon and then M next to the X to close the document.

"It's not a bug, it's a feature!" Aha, stupid me, sorry about this... This will teach me to better read the f*** manual.
