ListView Cover is better on stock in new version than with patch
The new official software without patch has a nice new list view with bigger previews.
The patch changes that to older style with small list, with a very small preview.
Original Software version 2.6.2.75
Honestly, I like the list preview of the hack more. The stock preview is bigger yes, but the stock preview will show fewer files at once. I really like the fact that I can see 21 items in the list view at once with this hack. If you want larger previews, why not using the grid mode, instead?
I think the official list view wastes too much space. A way better solution would be to introduce a tile view that provides the same preview size like official list view, but shows at least two items per row. It could word-break the names up to 3 rows as you can see in your screenshot. The downside about this is that it's not trivial to implement, probably.
I also like the listing view implemented by ddvk. Question : is there a way to disable this little preview and have a simple icon (pdf/notebook... so as to revert back to 2.5 list behavior), for a soberer/cleaner list layout ? (And as said, if needed to get the page preview, switch to grid mode)

yes, the option is T (ListCover on/off)
I would like to have the Normal mode to be the stock mode with bigger previews and author information. There is now also the compact mode which uses small icons.
To me, the N Normal view of this hack looks unbalanced with the bigger font and the small previews.
@ddvk @pgassmann I think now that we have a compact list view, it might be worth considering.
