Option to reduce/disable refreshes possible?

Refreshes are good for clean screen but I find them irritating when reading. Most people who are used to e-ink devices are OK with them. I am not. I have disabled refresh every few pages in KOReader as well.

Is it possible for you to provide an option to disable or configure number of refreshes in xochitl?

I have to second that. The reMarkable still feels sluggish on a daily basis for me. So much so, that I only use it for the most essential things. Especially then I would benefit from lesser re-draws, because I do not value less artifacts over practicality. I do not do any art on my reMarkable and sometimes I need to navigate quick. I would prefer to have a manual re-draw button on the side bar (and a proper gesture).

Really? I feel like it fails to refresh when I use the jump to previous document and some other gestures. I was hoping to have a gesture or button to force a refresh (like Supernote's swipe up or the refresh icon in Boox).
