feature request: make modes document based

It would be nice if each document could remember the mode (normal/reading/zen) it was in. I often switch between a pdf file and a notebook, and I'd like to keep that pdf in the reading mode and the notebook in the normal or zen mode.

Sorry for reviving this old feature request - if it is, for any reason, not reasonable to implement, then just a simpler method for switching between the reading and the zen modes (on rm2) would be very helpful.

long press on the menu button cycles the 3 now
