I'm not exactly a user, but I have hosted a different project based on MonoTorrent, and I'm also interested in solving this. I hope we can stick our heads together and figure it out. I've subscribed to this issue.

@hexafluoride that is awesome! I got it working earlier, but now it won't work again. Could it be a router issue? How can I make sure that my router is set up properly for port forwarding?

Also, are you experiencing similar issues (where it only works sometimes)?
