Reporting wrong temp when AC is off

When my AC is off, the temperature is reported as ‘0.0’ in the Home app. I already have a temperature sensor in my room so the Home app reports an average between the two. Is there any way to force the plug-in to not report temperatures when off? Perhaps with an; “ignoreTemperatureWhenOff”: true, line in the config?
