`-groups.enabled` and `EnabledGroups`

Hi, do I understand correctly that -groups.enabled option is actually not doing anything? I see a call to shared.ParseEnabledGroups that sets EnabledGroups global, but it doesn't seem to be used anywhere? Any purpose of it? Could it be dropped?
