@pleia2 looks like this got held up and I don't see a 1.9 Jenkins example. Can we close this ticket?

This example is incredibly complex since it was created by and was to be maintained by the Velocity team which no longer exists. We should follow up with @ryadav88 to see what we should do with this demo. I'd be in favor of simplifying it for versions above 1.8.
