GPS track file with waypoint only

"Would it be possible to allow Mæp to import gpx files that contain only waypoints? Currently it says that the file is invalid." (from Ingvix).

Just ran into the same issue. Still won't open it after I add a track using https://sourceforge.net/projects/gpxeditor/
