Output to file in addition to the pager?

Is there any way to both output to the pager & to a file? something similar to psql's --log-file ? right now if you enable output to file there are no results displayed on the console and i cannot find an option for it

if the option doesn't exist are you open to contributions? happy to try give it a go myself
