Could \e provide file name completion like \i does?

I'd really enjoy it if \e [file] could provide file name completion like \i filename does.

I like to store common queries in a directory. I can execute these queries using \i filename, but I'd like to first toss them in an editor then quit so they appear in the pgcli prompt and I can edit them for my situation.
