Installation via apt-get has 1.8 as the latest version. but there is version 1.24 in github

Is it possible to update debian package repos with the latest version of mycli

Hi @jkay90 we don't build debian packages. It was built by a volunteer. I've tagged him in this issue and see if he has bandwidth to trigger a rebuild.

The next debian stable release with mycli 1.23 is around one week away. I don't think doing a backport to oldstable will be necessary at this point.

Also for the future I have handed off the mycli/pgcli packaging to Daniel Baumann.

@jkay90 You didn't say what distro (and what version) of Linux you are running and as there are several that use the APT package system it may be that one distro has an older or newer version than another.

EDIT: My mistake you did say debian but not what version.

As I write this the latest version of mycli in the APT repositories for Ubuntu 20.04 is 1.24.1
