instead of ruining a game can i run an os?

I'm sorry that I didn't see this earlier; my spam filter seems to have gotten above itself.

Emularity currently supports DosBox, which can run any program that can be run from Dos. This certainly applies to Windows 3.11, and I seem to recall that Windows 95 could be run from Dos as well. I think that they might have removed that from Windows 98, but it's worth trying out.

MAME can also emulate a few types of PC, and so could in principle run Windows 98. I'm sure that it'll be slower than DosBox though.

v86 is a very good idea for another emulator to support.

i don't know about 98 but you can run 95 with imgmount d WINDOWS95DRIVEIMAGE.img -size 512,63,16,255 boot WINDOWS95DRIVEIMAGE.img (i try to run it without boot but i get that error image )
