Open Call for Shaders

All the shaders used in FF at the moment, have been found in ShaderToy and ported to Godot by myself. They have also been tweaked to allow for randomization of their look, where possible.

However there's only so much one can do with ported Shaders, especially one like me who doesn't have extensive GLSL knowledge. Not only that, but the Shaders do not always quite fit the effects of the card.

What would be preferential instead, is to design Shaders from scratch to use in FF. This has the following benefits:

  • More randomization of Shader look possible, since it would be built with that in-mind.
  • Shaders which might fit the effect of the cards better
  • Shaders matching the license of the rest of the project, allowing future potential use of Steam or itch.io

So this is an open call for anyone who wants to contribute fragment shaders to this game.

If you have an idea for a new card to use with your own shader, this is also an option and would allow for more creative capacity on your end (you get to choose card and ability, with some collaboration from the lead designer)

What you get: Your name will be prominently displayed under the card, your creation will enrich the commons and you might even get to design a new card in the process.
