Leverage VS Code's native "Quick Open" UI?

You've probably considered this, but I'm curious to hear: is it possible to use the "quick open" ui (triggered by ctrl+p / cmd+p) for this plugin? It would definitely optimize the experience.

Or perhaps at least imitate the search while typing. Does it have a heavy performance impact?
