Minor issue with the chocorne silk screen

Open idank opened this issue 3 years ago • 6 comments

A couple of the diode markings are mangled up (ordered from jlcpcb), it's only on this side.

could you confirm that I'm understanding correctly?

By mangled, do you mean that they look dirty/ugly?And my minor issue, do you mean that the direction is still discernible, but not pretty or ideal, correct?

I ask because I want to use this for a project and want to get clarity on this open issue.

There are four diodes that have a label in both directions. You can figure out the correct direction by looking at the pcb in an editor or just trying to solder in either direction and testing to see if it works.

Great, thanks for clarifying.

could you confirm if these are in the source files as well? From taking another look at the picture, it's not clear to me that this isn't an artifact from printing.

I'd be inclined to think that it is, since normally these footprints and silk screens are reused for all of the parts that are the same electrical component. Did all your PCBs come out exactly the same?

Yeah they're in the source.

Ok, i'll see if i can fix this when i take a look next, there are a couple of diode directions that could be made more consistent as well, thanks for letting me know.
