Hey @velavokr,

This is actually the birth date of the author, not the publication date of the text! Indeed, I don't think C was around in 1945 :)

The author strings are just taken directly from the Harvard Library Cloud MARC records, which often include these birth dates. But, I definitely see how it's confusing. It would be fairly easy to scrub these out when we load the texts into Elasticsearch.
