Linux: "Detected no devices" despite device showing up in syslog and lsusb
Hi all!
My FluxEngine device is no longer detected by the software. It's been a couple of years since I last used it, and it did work back then.
Any idea what's could be the problem here? Also let me know if there's anything I can do to help debug the issue.
Preface: I am running Debian Sid on amd64 platform. Required deb packages have been installed. Hardware has been programmed with the latest release zip .hex file.
Steps to reproduce:
- git clone the repository (current commit as of now is 7db49ae)
- cd fluxengine; make
- Plug in the hardware, which gets recognized as per syslog: -8<- Aug 17 14:22:25 hanuri vmunix: [14342569.373642] usb 5-3.4: new full-speed USB device number 54 using xhci_hcd Aug 17 14:22:25 hanuri vmunix: [14342569.552211] usb 5-3.4: New USB device found, idVendor=1209, idProduct=6e00, bcdDevice= 0.01 Aug 17 14:22:25 hanuri vmunix: [14342569.552217] usb 5-3.4: New USB device strings: Mfr=2, Product=1, SerialNumber=128 Aug 17 14:22:25 hanuri vmunix: [14342569.552219] usb 5-3.4: Product: FluxEngine Aug 17 14:22:25 hanuri vmunix: [14342569.552220] usb 5-3.4: Manufacturer: Cowlark Technologies Aug 17 14:22:25 hanuri vmunix: [14342569.552221] usb 5-3.4: SerialNumber: C401021715032874 -8<- and: -8<- $ lsusb | grep FluxEngine Bus 005 Device 053: ID 1209:6e00 Generic FluxEngine -8<
- Run the compiled binary to detect FluxEngine devices
Actual result: No devices detected: -8<- $ sudo ./fluxengine test devices Detected no devices. -8<-
Expected result: The FluxEngine device should be detected
I honestly don't know --- sorry. I'll try and reproduce it my end (my hardware's not hooked up right now) and see what happens.
If you could do sudo strace -o log.txt ./fluxengine test devices and then attach the zipped .txt file, that would also be helpful.
