Qterm / serial connection

Open Vagant1 opened this issue 9 months ago • 4 comments

Hi,

I am trying to connect CPMISH to my PC using Qterm and it simply showing on Linux side as offline. If I boot to ZCN I have immediately connection and the sam version qterm is working. How could I connect my NC200 and cpmish using serial? What am I doing wrong?

I hope FDD is not the only medium to exchange files?

Best regards Michal

I'm sorry, the serial port's not supported yet --- I didn't get round to it and then the floppy disk drive on my unit died and I haven't repaired it yet.

If you're interested in implementing it the relevant code is in the supervisor here: https://github.com/davidgiven/cpmish/blob/master/arch/nc200/supervisor/syscalls.inc#L137

That would explain it :)

I would like to implement but I don't think I am good enough but you never know! With regards to the floppy - most often the old belt just gives up. The replacement is available on eBay, I replaced mine and fixed yesterday.

Sadly with mine it's worse than that. I undid the wrong screw and wrecked the track calibration. It needs some custom tools and a lot of work with an oscilloscope to recalibrate.

That’s bad. Not sure where are you but there is a company in UK which is refurbishing and fixing those drives for NC200.
