Agreed, it would be nice to have this > 6. It would be even nicer to allow, eg, 1.3e-32. I don't think your PR addresses that. Is that correct?

No this pull request only fixes it for my use case, I have no idea how to set it after compile time. At least people with the same issue can use my fork.
