Update remote index ends without success or failure notification

Open vincentardern opened this issue 7 years ago • 4 comments

I have a working Syncthing setup with a few different devices. Today I installed Anyplace Sync Browser from the Google Play Store and added my always-on server from the app using the barcode scanner. It picked up the right Device ID for the server.

My android device is connected to the same LAN as the server.

I then pressed "update remote index" in the menu. After spinning for a short while, the spinning "index update..." indicator disappeared and the screen showed just "no folder available" again. There was no success or failure notification.

Hi,

you may try to open and close the app a couple times... initial folder pairing is still a little 'fuzzy'.

Regards, D

I am getting this situation too with 2 separate other syncthing instances.

Restarting nor reinstalling works.

Device is unrooted android 7

same for me, updating results in empty list... It's not clear for me, have I to be in the same network as the device? Is it necessary to give the mobile-phone the rigth to access the remote list?

Same problem. My phone and my PC are in the same WiFi, but nothing happens when add PD ID in the phone app. I try by using Syncthing app, same phone, same PC, same WiFi and it works. a-sync-browser has worked too in my old phone, same WiFi, same PC. When I goes to "Add device" in the PC, I can see a device ID I supouse the phone ID. If I add de ID to the PC, PC icon changes from gray to orange in the phone. PC Syncthing say nothing about a device trying to join. captura de pantalla de 2017-11-16 06-50-37 photo_2017-11-16_06-48-23
