Reuse existing browser tab?

Currently Gnome Gmail creates a new tab every time it is launched. It would be nice if there was some way to reuse an existing tab already open to Gmail. However, I understand that this is a browser specific problem and unlikely to be feasible. Just thought I'd put it out there as a feature request.

That behavior can be set in the configuration file ~/.config/gnome-gmail/gnome-gmail.conf
