Play Store availability?
Hey Dave, I love this app, great work. I was trying to find it on the Play Store to recommend to a friend and although I have it on my phone I couldn't find it to share anywhere. There's no way she's going to install F-droid. I suspected Google were pushing the commercial apps and hiding the open source apps away. Cheers, Hamish
Hi Hamish, Google changed their Play Store policies and required every developer who has ever had a paid app to publish all their business contact details in their public profile. As an independent, that would have to be all my personal details. I haven't charged for any of my apps for 9 years but could not get an exemption, so I did not comply and my apps were removed from Google Play.
Sorry to hear that Dave, what an absurd policy on Google's part.
Thanks for the great app! It still works on my phone but my partner may need to install f-droid.
