Hi @BenVickers98 > in WEC-Sim is it possible to simply model the heave displacement over time, without the need for information on the other degrees of freedom. You can do...
Hi @BenVickers98, I'll close this out for now but let us know if you need more advice 👍
Hi Ben, WEC-Sim sums the 3 on-diagonal linear added mass terms (surge-surge, sway-sway, heave-heave) together, and adds one term to the body's mass scalar variable. Hence, if you only allow...
Hi @BenVickers98 , sorry I overlooked this - yes you're right - you should use the A(∞) values 👍
Hello, @Hi-gone, thank you for filling in our template. Please can you upload a minimum working example so that we can reproduce your results?
Thanks @Hi-gone, > I think the floating body should not be able to move when a large PTO force is added Your PTO force does reduce the motion of the...
Yes, I agree actually - I just commented out your PTO model and used our PTO model and have much more reasonable results: Files attached: [RM3_pto.zip](https://github.com/WEC-Sim/WEC-Sim/files/9423433/RM3_pto.zip) I'm not...
It does seem like the error could be caused by how you've set up your Simulink model. The values you've passed to BEMIO are probably not suitable for this system...
Hi @BenVickers98 , did you manage to figure out the error?
@gpfilip I can't point you to any published results but I could run this in WAMIT for comparison if that helps? I'd need some additional information - sphere's CoG, rho...?...
