Providing updates on syncing progress
This is (for now) a minor UX issue.
I’m syncing a big repo https://github.com/life-itself/second-renaissance/tree/catalog-only and it seems to be taking a long time (like we are now syncing for 40m).
This is an edge case in that most people won’t have this large a repo to big with.
However, this is something that may show up even for smaller syncs where it can take 30s (if larger set of files).
I also don't know if the syncing has just failed ...
Ideas
- Track percentage of files synced (or even just the
no synced out of total Xe.g. '50 files synced out of 350` - Actually store logs of syncing someone so you can see history of a sync (this is bigger)
