if the compact view is what you want maybe you should try making the tabs appear on hover (thankfully there is a mod for that)

I could install blur theme on the default FF Mod blur, editing MicaforEveryone css and usying DWMBlurGlass. Sounds like there is compatibility with DWMBlurGlass. It could go to Pull requests, but I don't know how to post there.

FF modBlur could use a transparent/blur context menu, maybe the next release.
