@davisagli Thank you very much for finding and fixing the Chameleon issue. I would never have thought the fix is just one small change in Zope itself.

`pytest` support is not planned. Please use `zope.testrunner`.
Maybe I am misunderstanding the problem, but I'm not seeing any issues. My scenario: I am inside a clone of a private repository for a package that depends on packages...
P.S.: OK, I think I see one place where I misunderstood the issue: This appears to be about dependencies for the build system only, not install-time dependencies.
I would guess the only reason it has not been used is because no one thought this a priority or no one wanted to invest the time.
