The feature request here is pretty old, but basically what was suggested was that on a transformer you could "batch rename" all output columns by giving them a prefix or suffix or so. It was mostly needed if you had for instance 2 transformers of the same type, and the produced output columns with the same names. For example: Two address corrections, one for mailing address and one for billing address. In that case the user wanted an easy way to prefix all output columns with mailing_ or billing_.
