Update 00-before-we-start.Rmd
Reorganising the 'Getting set up' section to clairify the 'working directory' concept. Issue 739.
If this pull request addresses an open issue on the repository, please add 'Closes #NN' below, where NN is the issue number. Closes #739
Please briefly summarise the changes made in the pull request, and the reason(s) for making these changes. Shifted the concept subsection to before the concept was discussed. I also shortened and tried to remove repititon.
If any relevant discussions have taken place elsewhere, please provide links to these.
For more guidance on how to contribute changes to a Carpentries project, please review the Contributing Guide and Code of Conduct.
Please keep in mind that lesson Maintainers are volunteers and it may be some time before they can respond to your contribution. Although not all contributions can be incorporated into the lesson materials, we appreciate your time and effort to improve the curriculum. Thank you for contributing this suggestion, @BenjaminJPerry. This lesson underwent a major reorganisation when https://github.com/datacarpentry/R-ecology-lesson/pull/887 was merged, and the episode that you suggested this Instructor Note be added to no longer exists. Unfortunately, that means I am going to have to close this pull request.
The Getting set up in RStudio section of the new content includes discussion of the working directory as a concept:
One of the benefits to using RStudio Projects is that they automatically set the working directory to the top-level folder for the project. The working directory is the folder where R is working, so it views the location of all files (including data and scripts) as being relative to the working directory.
If you think that explanation could be improved, and would be willing to update your fork and open a new pull request suggesting improvements, I or one of the Maintainers will be delighted to review and merge it.
