I'd like to talk about RON (Replicated Object Notation). That is CRDT related stuff. I believe there was interest at the last meeting...

P.S. This RON http://doc.replicated.cc/^Wiki/ron.sm

Interesting. Have you had a look at the kappa-db stuff to compare it?

DougAnderson444 avatar Jan 13 '21 16:01 DougAnderson444

@DougAnderson444 kappa-db is a lightweight database, RON is a notation. kappadb employs JSON as a notation. kappadb is last-write-wins, RON is CRDT and everything else. So, the only overlap is the event-sourced approach. On the technical side, kappa db is node.js while PLS and DaRWiN (RON things) are C++. Although, if PLS will work on Hypercore one day, that would be nice.
