Hygieia Backstage

Hello,

We are just started building Spotify Backstage integration which we will use to replace the hygieia UI. The reason is that backstage is looking like a good all purpose portal with an active community. The ideas of portfolio, product and teams are easily modeled in back stage.

We would be willing to opensource this contribution if there is a willingness to support. I honesty don't see that the Hygieia UI is progressing much and Backstage provides a way to integrate cleanly while maintaining the investment done in the hygieia collectors and API.

An early example.

The hygieia backend plugin is an express server which acts as a backend for frontend which allows us to move most of the ui (chart data, tables, etc) to the server and only render the data in the ui. GraphQL might be a better option. we are exploring

So I think this is an awesome idea. We are more focussed on the data collection, api, audit api side and do not have a good sight at the UI enhancements etc. Also, to me it does not make sense to create UI from scratch any longer. I have seen backstage at a high level. I am fully supportive of this. Let us know how we can help. @rvema @Courtneyp123 @nireeshT

Hi, the issue is zoom is not allowed at our company. Only ms teams, and I would like to show u what we did.

What about I send you and invite via teams and u can forward it to whoever u wish and also purpose a new time?

Hello, I am sorry for the late reply.

We have decided to NOT continue with hygieia and move to a lakehouse architecture for general analytics and ML.

We are still using backstage but our model is based on OSLC.
