Project Permissions
We want to avoid cases where a project has a sole maintainer role on a service (GitHub, PyPI, conda-forge, etc.). https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lIF6kDWWoL7CqOLbTg2hChCzvHLQW-gMZofGrAoKtMo/edit?usp=sharing has a spreadsheet with things asof today. I've bolded items where we have sole maintainers
- [ ] gcsfs (just martin)
- [x] PyPI
- [x] RTD
- [ ] conda-forge
- [ ] dask-labextension
- [ ] Conda-forge (Just Uwe & Filipe, no one officially from Dask)
- [x] Just Ian on NPM. Should we have someone else here @ian-r-rose?
- [ ] dask-ml (just tom)
- [ ] conda-forge
- [ ] pypi
- [ ] dask-image (just John)
- [ ] conda-forge
- [ ] PyPI
- [ ] Cachey
- [ ] conda-forge (Just pmgrafe)
- [ ] PyPI (Just Matt)
We might also want to remove some no longer active maintainers (Kris, Antoine) if they want.
Happy to add anyone from the dask org who wants in on dask-labextension
on NPM.
Thanks @ian-r-rose I would propose myself as I also look after nvdashboard
on NPM.
+1 to Jacob

@jacobtomlinson invite sent!
I will wait on dask-adlfs, since it is being developed for fsspec compatibility and blob support at https://github.com/hayesgb/adlfs
During the dev meeting, we decided to just focus on updating projects that have single points-of-failure. For these projects, we'd like the maintainer to select someone else to be added as a maintainer on the other services
@jakirkham can you update for dask-image when you get a chance?
@mrocklin can you update for Cachey when you get a chance?
I've added @TomAugspurger and @jcrist to the Cachey PyPI account as owners
