Suggestion: Integrate with Daily Note

Open Nivyan opened this issue 1 year ago • 6 comments

I'd like to have a set of the moods of the current day, and/or a simple button to call the Mood Tracker within a note. Something like this: Obsidian_4Lm4DAiOWg

This is related to #56

@Nivyan I think this should already be achievable with Buttons plugin! You will need to add a button to daily note template, and bind "Open Tracker" command to it. https://obsidian.md/plugins?id=buttons

how I can add mood tracker to my daily note template when I use templater code to name files as the date of each day?

@mohsenfouladi not sure what you mean - do you want charts to be embedded in daily note?

Yes. I want to track my mood and emotions as part of my daily note template some thing like metabind plugin.

@mohsenfouladi why not embed the graph in daily note template? dynamic dates could be provided with templater/obsidian templates date syntax! https://github.com/dartungar/obsidian-mood-tracker?tab=readme-ov-file#embeddable-graph

You can do this! I use Metabind to have the button in there, but the Note Path just has the date syntax:

  • Path: Day Planners and Daily Notes/{{DATE:YYYY/M-MMM/ddd MMM Do}}.md -- So, for today, when I call the mood tracker, it'd be 2025/2-Feb/Sat Feb 22nd.md
  • Entry Location: ## mood notes

it looks totally like what you have up there, only I've made it part of my daily note template and then when I add one it just appears above the button:
