Video TDR failure (P102-100)

Open bmullaney opened this issue 2 years ago • 8 comments

I have the P102-100 and followed everything exactly and it worked. But whenever I play a game it crashes and I get the error. Video TDR failure: What failed: nvlddmkm.sys

Does anyone think this is becasue these drivers just dont work with the P102 or because my card is bad? Is anyone able to get the P102 working and what FPS are they able to get with any games?

Same Error on both windows 10 and 11 with 536.40 and I also tried the new 537.13 drivers

I re-uploaded the latest release with some fixes, maybe this will help.

Now as few changes as possible are made to the driver (in fact, the mining cards are only switched from TCC to WDDM this is enough for 3D acceleration).

Unfortunately, there is not much information about the P102-100, as well as about the CMP 170HX.

tried the new upload and still same error. Ray tracing check was there which was new though so thats nice to see. Im wondering if I just have a bad card or if its because of the PCIe lanes? He is able to fix that issue in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlLid4uGxpw

If anyone is able to show exacltly how the resoldering done Id be willing to try it for my p102-100

games run really well for about 1 minute. But then it always crashes. If the game is more demanding it crashes faster

Some option

http://mining.inno3d.com/mc38658102rm/download/p102win10_64bit.zip + delete AdapterType registry value as shown in the video. Then reboot.

This driver is very old but has native P102-100 support. If it crashes too, then the problem is not in my patch.
