P106M support
Hi
There is this GP106 family chip, reported as P106M 4Gb with DEV_1C36 identification. Any chance to add it to the patcher? I tried to modify the inf file to get it installed as GXT1060. The drivers install, but at the reboot there is only black screen
I don't see any 3D restriction for this card in the driver code, so I suspect there is a problem with inf files.

Try this:
- Download and unpack: https://www.nvidia.com/en-eu/geforce/drivers/results/240797/
- Add these files: test.zip
- Install as usual (setup.exe)
If it does not work try RainCandy driver - it supports P106M https://raincandy.tech/nvcmpgpu/?i=1
Just for reference, I have chinese laptop with that chip and MXM version of the card.
- P106M is a "Nvidia Graphics Device" with several different IDs (1C75 for example), in form of MXM card, was used in Tesla Cars computers(!)
- Chinese noname laptops with N95 and P106M are appear on Aliexpress, sellers advertise it as GTX 1060 4Gb. Huge drawback of these laptops is that chip is connected by PCIE 3.0 x2 bus limiting it performance to 1050 level.
- Power also capped to about 50W from regular 100W. There is no power reporting from driver.
- Card does not have DirectX restrictions, but NVENC and NVDEC are not working (hangs).
- Driver that can be installed automatically without any mods is P106-100 384.74 driver from Gigabyte (first link in google), but it is very old. Still it is best driver without any stutter issues.
- Most recent driver that can be installed manually without major issues is from April, 2024 version 552.22 (working P1000, GTX 1060 variants) but expect heavy stutters in some games.
- Apps like GPU-z, riva tuner or nvidia overlay will cause seconds of stutters and 10+ second hangs if run with this driver. Steam FPS counter working fine.
- Drivers starting from 556 including most recent one are not working at all (black screen for a minute, then error 43 in Device Manger) .
We definitely need a patch to make P106M working with new drivers and without stutters. I have no clue what need to be changed, it must be related to NVDEC and hardware monitoring, because it hangs there.
