Problems with launching Steam

Some time ago, Steam stopped working if there was a patch driver installed. But if you disabled the video card in Device Manager, Steam started normally. However, this is very inconvenient and even if you linked a Steam bat file to launch, the game from the library did not always run on the video card. I suspect that Steam checks all devices for authenticity. Is there any way to bypass this check or hide a video card from Steam?
