Recently closed tabs not showing

I recently made a fresh install of Firefox (with logging into my Firefox Sync account though). While at first the recently closed tabs were showing normally, now they are not showing up anymore. Toggling the tickbox doesn't change it, neither did reinstalling the add-on and deleting its settings.

PS: I did change the number of tabs you are able to recover in about:config (browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo). Though resetting that to default didn't fix it, so not sure if it's relevant.

They are now suddenly showing again but without favicons. Not sure where the cause lies here.
