@andabata hi! is there any kind of a status update regarding RPU? (Believe me, i very much understand that sometimes things are just too bothersome to do...)

status update regarding RPU

I don't think anything could have changed with the site not working since Jul 14 or so: https://discuss.pixls.us/t/weblate-and-raw-pixls-us-are-down/44601/3

I'm slowly getting the energy to start rebuilding it, I do have all raws, but i did lost the database. I scrapped the json's from archive.org. And i should be able to be able to rebuild most of the database.

this is some raw img from zve10ii, Is there anything else I need to provide?

The samples need to be contributed to RPU, that is the prerequisite here.

Thank you! https://helpguide.sony.net/ilc/2430/v1/en/contents/0404I_raw_file_type.html?search=raw says that there are 2 raw types:

  • Lossless Comp: Records images in lossless compression format with high compression ratio without deterioration of image quality. The file size of the image will be larger than if it were recorded in [Compressed].
  • Compressed: Records images in compressed RAW format.

But there are three files. Are all of these files with the same compression? We need one file per raw mode.

RPU

@LebedevRI Oh I see, I uploaded the 2 raw images in the remaining compression standard

The last two uploads contain people, and as noted on https://raw.pixls.us/ we can't take those. Please, could you take just two shots (one in each raw mode) of the same scene, and upload them, noting in the comment which is which?

With my images and when using the white balance module, if I copy the wb_presets.json presets from the FX30, the daylight preset seems bang on for a 6500k illuminant. The wb_presets.json for fx30 are also nearly identical to what I get from as_shot / exif. But when using the "camera reference" white balance, which I believe comes from this matrix, the colors & coefficients are way off. Sorry if I'm missing something - I am new to darktable just trying to get the hang of things.

edit: I see adobe dng converter spits out DNGs now that have this exact matrix. Although it is curious that on the dng converter website the zv-e10m2 is the only line in the supported cameras chart that is empty. Really I think that the "daylight" profile for FX30 in wb_presets is closer to 5000K than 6500K. This is backed up by the fact that the daylight profile seems to land between the 4500k and 6000k presets that are also included... anyways marking myself off topic. I should have dug into this more

@Pleune This (rawspeed) is about base camera support, i.e. ability to just decode and import the specific camera model raw file into darktable.

For everything else, please use the darktable user support forum or the darktable issue tracker.
